iPad Engraving

Rumor has it that Apple will soon be offering a free engraving service for newly purchased iPads.

Originally reported by Erictric this past Monday, the free engraving service is supposed to start being offered right before the holiday season.  Since Apple already provides this service for the iPod, we feel that it is more likely than not that the rumor is true.

Even if the rumor turns out to be false, iPad owners still have the option to have engraving performed by third party providers as demonstrated below.

    2. I have thought about engraving plenty of times, but I always passed on it because I might want to sell this sucker, one day. What then?

    If the original engraving is removed, that might look suspicious and complicate matters for the new owner.

    I’m not sure what the answer is.
