MAME Ported For iPad
The release of iMAME4all for the iOS brings classic arcade gaming to the iPad.
MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator and was originally developed for the PC platform in 1999. The project’s stated purpose is to save the arcade classics for future generations. The games themselves are downloaded from the original arcade machine roms and are readily available on the Internet.
iMAME4all which requires a jailbroken iPad, is available through the BigBoss repository.
iPad Arcade Up For Auction
After designing the iPad Arcade prototype, freekade has completed their first production unit.
The handcrafted cabinet features a classic style joystick, four play buttons, and a pair of start and select buttons as well. The Bluetooth interface, which connects the iPad to the game controls requires 2 double AA batteries.
In order to use the iPad Arcade cabinet with your iPad you will to jailbreak it and install a game console emulator.
The iPad Arcade can be bid on at ebay until August 28th.
Drift Mania Championship
Drift Mania Championship from RadRod Studio is an arcade style racing game, where the objective is to control the vehicles slide after its’ tires have lost their grip from the track.
In this non traditional racing game instead of competing against other drivers, the driver competes against the clock for the best track time. The game features include 5 vehicles with unique specs, 3 different race tracks, 3 levels of difficulty, 3 camera configurations, a highlights replay system, and the Soundtrack from Good Fight Music.

Tesla Wars HD
Tesla Wars HD by Pavel Tarabrin is a fast paced arcade style game with an unlimited number of levels.
The object of the game is to defend your tower and its’ attached wall from numerous types of attackers. This is accomplished by shooting lightening bolts down at the attackers from the tower itself. Each destroyed attacker yields a cash reward which can subsequently be used to repair health, restore lightening charge, and make purchases from a selection of upgrades between rounds.

Galaxian Arcade Classic For iPad
Ivan Cerra’s Galaxia Reloaded is an accurate recreation of the original 1979 arcade classic.
The game was built on the success of the original Space Invaders. And just like Space Invaders, Galaxian featured multiple rows of aliens that exchanged shots with the player, however to make things more interesting it added the component of alien dive bombers.
Galaxia Reloaded is available at the App Store for $0.99.
Another iPad Mini Arcade
Back on June 10th we reported on Hideyoshi Moriya’s cardboard based iPad arcade cabinet, however he is not the only entrepreneur attempting to bring an iPad mini arcade to market.
Freekade, who already custom builds retro style arcade cabinets based on M.A.M.E. has recently developed an iPad tabletop arcade cabinet prototype of their own.
At present the working prototype requires a jailbroken iPad.
